Proposed Itinerary:

April 11 – Travel Day

April 12 – Amsterdam:  After arriving at our hotel, we begin our tour with local cuisine and good company at a welcome dinner near the Schiphol airport.

April 13-14 – North Holland:  The wonderful little city of Hoorn near IJsselmeer lake boasts history, a pleasant atmosphere, 16:35:15and beautiful natural surroundings.  In spring the tulip bulbs in the region burst into life, as we photograph some of the world’s largest tulip fields and historic windmills.  We visit the lovely town of Zandaam, drawing inspiration from the same windmills that  Claude Monet admired in his paintings.

April 15-16 – Noordwyk, Holland:  We trace the North Sea coast on our way Keukenhof, known as the Garden of Europe.  From grand garden scenes to intimate macro details, the gardens of Keukenhof offer a plethora of photographic opportunities.

April 17 –– Kinderdijk, Holland:  The beautiful wetlands around Dordrecht are home to the windmills of Kinderdijk. Built around 1740, the 19 charming windmills were declared to be a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997.

April 18-19 – Bruges, Belgium:  The picturesque city of Bruges was left largely intact after the war and its historic center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.  With cobblestone streets, quiet canals, quaint market squares and towering medieval church spires, Bruges’ old world charm never ceases to inspire photographers.

April 20 – Amsterdam:  We travel back to the capital, by way of the magical Hallerbos Forest with fresh green beech leaves and a carpet of wild bluebells that float among the woods.  An escape from our modern world to the land of faeries presents natures marvelous reality.
